IN BETWEEN
In Between is my final project, inspired by my experience as a former religious. I was raised in a religious family, but as I grew older, I chose to explore and find my own path. The project centers on in-depth interviews I conducted with young people who are navigating their own way—individuals who didn't necessarily choose to leave the religious world behind, but are seeking to forge a new path.
Through this project, I delve into questions of identity, the relationship between religion and religiosity, freedom of choice, belonging, and the search for meaning. I gathered both collective and personal experiences, asking: What does it mean to be in between? Must one seek exact definitions, or is it possible to embrace all worlds? The book includes texts by Micah Goodman from his Book Back Without Answer, which served as an inspiration for my project. The illustrations are my interpretation of these texts.
